We've been coming to this particular playgroup for over a year now and my son loves it. Its totally free but there is a small charge for tea & coffee.
It starts at 9.30 & finishes at 11 on Thursdays, on the way in your asked to sign in or register if you haven't been to any Action for children groups before (its just 1 form).
The children are allowed to go and play with an assortment of toys that change weekly, today we had paints, glitter & rollers, books & beanbags, farm animals, tractors etc, trains & wooden track, slide, puzzles & jigsaws, play food, and a baby area with bouncer chair & assorted toys.
The mums & dads can help themselves to tea & coffee but this has to be drunk in the kitchen which you can see your children from.
There is usually a good assortment of ages from newborn - 5 years. 2 leaders run this group Sarah Jane & Alice, both are extremely easy to talk to and get to know, they can help you with most problems and give you advice.
The children play until 10.30 then its tidy up time where everyone helps to put things away into the toy cupboard as all the toys end up absolutely everywhere!
Then we have a bit of a sing song, the usual's are wheels on the bus, wind the bobbin, twinkle twinkle etc then its fruit & milk time, the children sit down at the table, clean their hands and then help themselves to an assortment of fruit & have a beaker of milk or water.
There is a car park here and toilet facilities, also changing facilities too.
