A lovely little boy in my 5 year olds class is fighting his way through Leukaemia, and it has really opened my eyes to the horror that is childhood cancer. Seeing the familys journey through the last few years has made me have a completely different perspective on life.
And so, I have rather long hair and I have decided to give it the chop and give it away to a charity specifically dedicated to making wigs for children who lost their hair from cancer treatment.
The minimum hair donation to start to makes a childs wig is 7 inches.
I have chosen The Little Princess Trust and I have decided to cut off at least 14 inches of hair and I am looking for sponsors pleeeeease.
I am splitting the sponsorship money 50/50 between CLIC Sargent (CLIC Sargent is the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people, and their families) and The Little Princess Trust (They provide real-hair wigs, free of charge, to boys and girls across the UK and Ireland that have lost their own hair through cancer treatment).
I know times are tough and that Christmas is approaching but any donations no matter how small would be hugely welcome.
Please please sponsor me. I have set up a page for sponsorship -
The chop will be on November 30th and if anyone else has some extra hair they would like to donate you are more than welcome to join me...
