2) Find quality childcare
Knowing that your child is in safe hands is extremely important for your peace of mind. Research the different options available such as nurseries, pre-schools, childminders or friends & family babysitters. Childcare providers will allow you to visit their premises so go and see a few to find out what's available and most suited to your families needs. By picking the right setting for your child, the chances are your child will love it, making leaving them there much easier.
3)Think of the money
For the majority of mums returning to work, the main driving factor is because they want or need the extra cash. Remind yourself daily why you're doing this and how your life will be improved by your improved finances.
4)Think of the positive message you're sending your kids
Teaching kids a good work ethic from a young age is always a great thing to do. It sends out a positive message about working for a living and will help to inspire them to do the same in future.
5) Handle your separation anxiety
There's much talk about babies separation anxiety, but mums can get if too. Don't be hard on yourself if you find being away from your baby too much for your emotions to handle at first. It's ok to have a cry in the toilet or under your desk. It's ok to call the nursery ten times in a day and it's ok to feel like running away. Remind yourself of the reasons why you've returned to work and focus on how great it'll feel to have a cuddle at the end of the day.
